Child killed in RV park incident

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a June 5 auto-pedestrian crash that occurred inside the A Town & Country RV Park, located at 862 Lapointe Street in Bridge City.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2015 GMC pickup was traveling on the paved portion of the road and leaving the RV park when it struck a small battery powered dirt bike that traveled into its path.

The driver of the pickup, identified as 31-year-old Gerald Dyson of Cedartown, Ga., was not injured. The driver of the bike, identified as 5-year-old Rilee McGraw of Deville, La., was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
