City of Groves: Don't flush non-flushable items

The city of Groves reported the city's drainage system is beginning to experience blockages to their main lines. They say it is due to the toilet paper shortage.

"Please remember that rags, clothing and baby wipes are not flushable," the city announced. "This also includes so-called 'flushable wipes' as these do not break down and will clog your sewer line.

"If alternative items must be used in the place of toilet paper, please seal them inside a trash bag then place that bag into your garbage can outside. The city will then pick up on your schedule day."
