Beaumont Events is in the midst of their inaugural “13 Nights of Halloween,” which began Oct. 18, with Halloween classics inside the Jefferson Theatre through Sunday, Oct. 30.

Films include “Candyman” on Thursday, Oct. 27 ($6); “The Thing” on Friday, Oct. 28 ($6); “Hocus Pocus” on Saturday, Oct. 29 ($4-$6); and “Trick R Treat” on Sunday, Oct. 30 ($6).

“Candyman,” released in 1992, tells the story of a murderous soul with a hook for a hand, and is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster's myth.

“The Thing,” released in 1982, stars Kurt Russell as a member of an American scientific research outpost in Antarctica, who find themselves battling a parasitic alien organism capable of perfectly imitating its victims.

The original “Hocus Pocus” is a family-friendly 1993 film that features three sister witches, who are accidentally resurrected in Salem on Halloween night. It is up to three kids and their newfound feline friend to put an end to the witches’ reign of terror once and for all.

Released in 2007, “Trick R Treat” includes five interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband; and a mean old man meets his match with a demonic, supernatural trick-or-treater.

Movies began at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com. The Jefferson Theatre is located at 345 Fannin St. in downtown Beaumont.
