CORRECTION: Le Grand Bal plans in limbo

Lamar University College of Fine Arts and Communication soiree, Le Grand Bal, the university spokesperson has advised, will not be able to be held on the original March 28 date. 

LU hopes to reschedule it for sometime in May or possibly even the fall, but a new date has not yet been determined.

"We are meeting on Monday (March 16) to discuss some possibilities," Lamar University College of Fine Arts and Communication Marketing Coordinator JT Robertson said, stressing that the event has not been canceled. "Things have been changing by the hour."

Thursday, March 12, event leaders had come to an agreement to postpone the major fundraising event, but plans hit a snag as a future date is needed to secure the deferment.
