Jan. 25, a Jefferson County grand jury indicted a man accused of stabbing his co-worker just before Thanksgiving 2022.

Jaime Parada-Gonzales, 41, was indicted for aggravated assault, a second-degree felony for the Nov. 22, 2022, stabbing incident. Beaumont Police Department officers reported responding to a hotel on the Interstate 10 service road in reference to a stabbing, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Officers found a 47-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds, who was transported to a local hospital with serious injures.

The victim later told officers that a co-worker stabbed him during an argument.
