The Texas Trustee Implementation Group (TIG) working to restore the Texas coast along the Gulf of Mexico after the Texas Trustee Implementation Group (TIG) working to restore the Texas coast along the Gulf of Mexico after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill has released its Draft Restoration Plan, which includes restoration projects to partially compensate for the injury to natural resources caused by the spill. The total estimated cost for the 13 proposed projects in the draft plan is approximately $39 million.

The draft plan is available for public review and comment through March 28, and hard copies can be obtained at the Port Arthur Public Library, 4615 9th Ave. in Port Arthur, at the Jack K. Williams Library Texas A&M University/ Galveston, and the Mary and Jeff Bell Library Texas A&M University/Corpus Christi.

The TIG is also holding a public webinar on Wednesday, March 9, at 6 p.m. to present the draft restoration plan and the proposed preferred alternatives. Register at register.gotowebinar.com/register/2667653123715836432.
