Dino Day at BCM

Beaumont Children’s Museum will host a special Dino Day on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free. BCM is located inside the Civic Center at 701 Main St. in downtown Beaumont.

The day will feature the Dinosaur George traveling museum. George “Dinosaur George” Blasing is a self-taught paleontologist and animal behaviorist with more than 40 years of study and research. Blasing is a public speaker, author, and television host and writer who has performed live to over 4 million people and has lectured in over 4,000 museums, schools and public events. He is the writer, co-creator and host of “Jurassic Fight Club” on the History Channel.

In 1997, Blasing quit his lucrative retail career and dedicated his life to educating children and adults about the amazing creatures that once ruled our planet. He then opened his own chain of retail stores called “Dinosaur World.”

With his vast knowledge of prehistoric life, expertise in animal behaviors, and powerful on camera presence, Dinosaur George is a highly respected and sought-after public figure who shares his love of “all things prehistoric” with throngs of enthusiastic fans.
