Event to feature elected reps

Join the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce for the Legislative Preview Luncheon on Dec. 15, sponsored by CommonCents Credit Union, with special guests Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan and new Representative-Elect Christian “Manuel” Hayes speaking with attendees. The elected officials will offer a preview of what to expect for the Texas Legislative session starting in January 2023.

Pickleball and BBQ

The first annual Pickleball Tournament and BBQ Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Beaumont Tennis Center, 6475 College St., from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Team registration is currently underway; call or text Kelly Herr at (409) 651-6146 by Dec. 7 to get in on the action.

Sponsored by Golden Triangle Roofing Specialists, the fundraiser is collecting money to purchase toys for Toys For Tots. This event itself will be open to the public with BBQ plates being sold for $10. Deliveries for six or more plates is available.
