Jefferson, Orange and Hardin County voters, we need to re-elect our Attorney General, Ken Paxton, and the stakes could not be higher.

With our current national open-border policies, we have quite literally invited an unprecedented flow of illegal immigrants to proliferate from our local construction industry, doing what, in many cases, would be high-paying jobs Southeast Texans are missing in a time when we are experiencing unprecedented growth.

When our youth are searching for labor and semi-skilled jobs at multi-billion-dollar construction projects right here in Jefferson County and are turned away because a busload of new illegal immigrants are contracted through sub-contractor working for sub-contractor for sub-contractor and on and on, the only way to stop, or at least slow it down and open up those jobs for our youth, is through the federal court system and more border protection.

We can no longer hope or dream of a middle class of working Southeast Texans buying their own home, taking their families to dinner and a movie, and an annual family vacation unless we protect those jobs which will pay our citizens a reasonable living wage.

Deadly drugs such as fentanyl being transported up and down Interstate 10 and Highway 69 through, and to, our communities cannot be stopped by local law enforcement alone; it must be stopped at the border.

Daily, illegal immigrants are arrested for crimes committed, many of which are violent, then put on hold for immigration violations to ultimately still be set free because the federal government hasn’t made it a priority to send criminals back to their home country.

Paxton has taken real action through the courts, fighting shortsighted federal immigration mandates, defending Texas’ rights as a state, and keeping our communities safe.

Every vote is important. Attorney General Paxton, with your vote, will continue the fight to protect your family, our community, and the great state of Texas.
