A new year brings new opportunities to explore nature at a State Park. For 12 years Texas State Parks have hosted hikes and various activities to ring in the new year. Last year, Texans hiked 8,764 miles at 69 parks across the state. Join a Park Ranger for a guided hike, take the trails on your own with scavenger hunt and guided prompts, or blaze your own path and report your mileage at the pavilion. Guided hikes begin at 10 a.m. with Hiking with Intention, Compass Navigation Hike at 2 p.m. and Discovery Hike at 3 p.m.
