Friends and family gumbo

Solid Rock Community Church Inc., located at 5095 Pine Burr in Beaumont, is inviting the community to join them in celebrating friends, family and togetherness in the community at a welcome-to-all Sunday service and food fellowship on Sept. 25 beginning at 11:30 a.m. Free gumbo will be enjoyed after the service.

Solid Rock recently hosted a community event commemorating Labor Day, the communitywide holiday picnic a labor of love for Bishop Mark Smith and the congregation.

“We would love to see everyone there,” Smith said.
