With the number of animals under the watchful eye of Beaumont Animal Care (BAC) and the continuous need for rescue transports, the organization recently launched a Transport Fund to facilitate transports that give animals a second chance at life by connecting them with other rescue organizations and adopters across the country.

Transports range from $300 to $600 per animal depending on the location and cover transport fees, vaccinations, tests, medications and supplies, BAC shared, asking for community support in funding the undertaking.

To donate and make a “paw-sitive” impact, donors can visit www.beaumonttexas.gov/171/Donate and include the word “Transport” in the notes section to properly allocate gifts.

BAC is a city-operated animal shelter located at 1884 Pine St. Most recent monthly statistics show 9,262 calls for service and a monthly intake of 243 animals with a save rate of 91.16%.
