The first-ever Saratoga Gumbo Cook-Off and Washer Tournament is Saturday, Jan. 28, at the First Assembly of God Church, hosted by the U45 Men’s Ministry.
All proceeds go to help with medical bill for a member of the community.
Entry fee is $30 per team and prizes will be presented for first, second and third place, as well as fan favorite. The gumbo must be cooked on site with the exception of the roux. Participants must provide their own propane setup and serving tables.
BBQ plates by Callaway BBQ will be available. There will also be a silent auction, cake auction and more.
The washer tournament is $30 per team and starts at noon. Prices go to first and second place.
