GOOD NEWS | Gumbo for Girls’ Haven

Classic Southeast Texas, 3855 Eastex Freeway in Beaumont, will host this year’s Girls’ Haven Gumbo Festival cook-off, the 28th rendition of the time-honored fundraiser, on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Area teams cook gumbo and compete to win tasting honors in efforts to raise money for Girls’ Haven to continue providing for the young girls in care due to neglect, abuse, exploitation and severe family dysfunction. There will be live music and a kids’ area.
