Beaumont Heritage Society hosting its annual Christmas Candlelight tour at the John Jay French Museum
The Beaumont Heritage Society will hold its annual Christmas Candlelight Tour at the John Jay French Museum, 3025 French Rd. in Beaumont, on Thursday, Dec. 9, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Attendees will be given a tour of the historic French home, decorated for Christmas in the mid-1800s, with living history actors mirroring the French family at Christmastime.
The event will also feature events the whole family can enjoy, including a caroling hayride and children’s craft. A dulcimer band will serenade guests with the sounds of Christmas as revelers walk the historic French grounds. Light refreshments of wassail, hot chocolate and cookies will be served in the Heritage Hall.
Admission is $5 for ages four and up, with three and under attending free. Beaumont Heritage Society Members attend free. All proceeds from the event go directly to the care and maintenance of the John Jay French Museum.
