Five Southeast Texas angler teams finished in the top 10 of the year's first tournament of the SETX High School Fishing Association on Jan. 13 at the Lake Sam Rayburn-Umphrey Pavilion.

LCM's Braxton Rambo and Cameron Doughty took first with 20.36 lbs., while Brooklyn Clark and Cameron Jenkins of Lumberton were second with 17.28 lbs. Kountze's Layne Judaea and J.T. Mosley was third with 15.82 lbs.

Lumberton's Charlie Doiron and Hudson Emerson (13.92) were sixth and Cade Craig and Carter Romero of Hamshire-Fannett were 10th at 13.20.

Others area anglers placing in 11-20th place were Caden Williamson-Braden Norton (12.07) of Vidor in 12th, Trent Hunt and Kaitlyn Moore (12.01) of PNG at 14th, Colt Holland and Rylan Smart (11.78) of Kountze at 15th, and Brenden Gallier and Jay Delk of LCM (11.72) at 18th.
