Infant shot in drive by

At about 7:35 p.m. Friday, July 16, police responded to reports of a drive-by shooting in the 2100 block of Evergreen Dr., according to a news release from the Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD).

Upon arriving on scene, officers reportedly found a 1-year-old boy who sustained a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and later was life flighted to a Houston hospital. 

Investigation revealed that a four-door, silver or gray passenger car was possibly the suspect vehicle. This case is currently under investigation by the PAPD Criminal Investigations Division.
