On the lam for nearly two weeks, a family in Silsbee is seeking the return of lost pet, “Georgie” the kinkajou, commonly called a “honey bear.”
According to a public request asking for assistance in locating the missing Georgie, the kinkajou is a family pet that escaped his enclosure.
“We would love to bring this little guy back home,” the owner pleaded. “Please do not hurt him! He won’t hurt your other animals; he only eats fruit! He is friendly and will come up to you, especially for food, but can bite so if you do see him it’s better to just contact me and I will come get him. He is nocturnal so will most likely be seen at evening or nighttime.”
