Continuing a January event lineup of teen-flinging, tweens ages 11 and up are invited to the R.C. Miller Library on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 3 p.m. for an afternoon of crafting and making sun-catchers to catch some rays while awaiting the return of spring. The Miller Library is located next to Rogers Park, 1605 Dowlen Rd. in Beaumont.

Rolling into the workweek, youth are then going to switch roles and serve as the volunteers.

Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., high school volunteers will be on-hand at the Theodore Johns Library to offer some hands-on homework help for those who come to claim it. Homework help organizers report that the teen volunteers will be assisting students through 6th grade with read-to-me time for the younger guests, and tutoring for those who need it in math, science, language arts and history.
