Lumerton PD nabs four for DWIs

The Lumberton Police Department (LPD) arrested four people for driving while intoxicated (DWI), along with five other arrests during the period of July 19-26.

LPD arrested Jonathan K. Lester, 23, July 20 for DWI with a child passenger under age 15, a felony. Others arrested for DWI include Christopher M. Thomas, 27, on July 21; Alexander V. Hardy, 21, on July 23; and Tanner J. George, 27, on July 25 – all Class B misdemeanors.

Officers arrested Chance Motley, 23, July 24 for assault of family/household members, impeding breathing or circulation — a third-degree felony.

July 24, LPD arrested Yancy Brydson Jr., 27, on multiple charges. His charges include unlawfully carrying a weapon (Class A), possession of marijuana, fewer than 2 ounces (Class B) and public intoxication (Class C).

Officers arrested Shane A. Whitney, 19, July 25 for theft of property, less than $100 (Class B), as well as Kacy L. Coleman, 32; and Tristian M. Jones, 25, for public intoxication (Class C).
