A 32-year-old Hardin County man was arrested and charged with harboring a runaway teenage girl on Oct. 6, reported Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford.

According to the sheriff, the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) was able to locate the whereabouts of a missing 17-year-old juvenile female from Warren who was believed to be with Lucas Toutloff of Silsbee, for multiple days. An arrest warrant was then issued on Toutloff during the course of the investigation.

Using geolocating tools, TCSO notified the Silsbee Police Department (SPD) of a possible location of Toutloff and the missing teen. SPD officers were able to locate and detain Toutloff until TCSO deputies could arrive on scene.

Toutloff was transported to the Tyler County jail where he was charged with harboring a runaway —  a Class A misdemeanor. The juvenile female was returned safely to her family in Warren.

Justice of the Peace Trish Ford set bond on Toutloff at $5,000.
