'Meat Up' for Happy Hour

The Shorkey Center is hosting a “Meat Up” fundraiser on Thursday, May 12, from 5-8 p.m. at the downtown Beaumont venue 434 Fannin, featuring a sampling of the best bites from 1701 Barbeque, beer and wine, and live music.

As a nonprofit organization, the Shorkey Center relies heavily on the support and generosity of donors, foundations and community partners, the group reports. In addition to physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy, the center offers ABA therapy for children on the Autism Spectrum and provides educational services with its day treatment school for children with autism and early childhood inclusive preschool program for children ages 2 to 5 years.
