A body found floating in the Lower Neches Valley Authority (LNVA) on Dec. 8 has been identified, reported the Beaumont Police Department (BPD).

The body of Donovan Michael Hall, 16, was discovered in the canal about 1:45 p.m. by a worker with the LNVA. BPD officers and first responders responded to the canal in the 4500 block of Major Drive, just south of State Highway 105.

According to a BPD, Hall was reported as a runaway by his family, last known to be seen at 4 p.m. Nov. 28 near State Highway 105 and Alpine Circle in Beaumont. Hall was reported missing on Dec. 1.
