The city of Beaumont is set to become a living canvas as it unveils the location and dates for the third annual Mural Festival that promises to transform the city. The live mural painting event will take place at the Beaumont Event Centre on Saturday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and continue Sunday, March 3, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year's festival promises to be larger than life. Witness the live painting of not just one, but six cubes on site, with an additional two cubes open for attendees to express their creativity. But that’s not all — brace yourself for five stunning murals spanning 8,000 square feet, provided by Giglio Distributing Co. on the warehouse located just across from the Event Centre.

Inside the Beaumont Event Centre, 700 Crockett St., the festival will showcase the talent of local artists within the community.

Local artists interested in participating are encouraged to email VisitBeaumontTx@beaumonttexas.gov. Follow @VisitBeaumontTx for updates on the unveiling of the all-star muralists lineup and headliners, featuring national and international artists, thanks to the support of J. Muzacz.

Christina Lokey, director of Marketing and Tourism for the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), is enthusiastic for the upcoming festival.

“Beaumont Mural Fest is not just about paint on walls; it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the power of art to inspire. We are thrilled to unveil the chosen location for our live mural painting and announce the festival dates,” said Lokey. “This event promises to be a visual feast, bringing people together through the shared appreciation of public art for free thanks to the city of Beaumont.”

Two blocks away from the Event Centre, prepare to be captivated by the live painting of an entire building by two renowned muralists. The excitement doesn't stop there – an artist meet and greet is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 29, from 7 – 9 p.m. at Pour09. Attendees can expect a diverse range of mural styles, themes, and techniques, reflecting the unique perspectives of each participating artist.

“I thought it would be hard to beat last year’s festival after Genesis, located at 1600 Cedar St. But with such a large canvas for this year’s festival at the center of downtown, this is just the start of the impressive event,” said Min Dai from Obana Restaurant Group.

This monumental event is brought to the community by the Beaumont CVB and Pour09.

“We play such a vital role in this festival, not for the event, but for the lasting legacy of murals that will captivate and inspire visitors for years to come,” added Dean Conwell, the executive director of the Beaumont CVB.
