Nederland ISD closes

Nederland Independent School District will close classes until March 23, officials released in a statement on Sunday, March 15. Classes were initially a go for Monday, March 16, but further concerns over the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 were exacerbated over the weekend.

Responses from students and staff pertaining to weekend travel promoted the closure.

”After much thought and reviewing the travel registries from students and staff,” NISD’s release stated, “Nederland ISD will close facilities immediately.”
