Just before 6:30 a.m. April 13, a contingent of Orange County narcotics and Vidor Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Armada that yielded seven kilos of cocaine, according to a news release.

Officers stopped the car in the eastbound lane of I-10, and found a hidden compartment underneath the vehicle where the drugs were stowed. The two occupants were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, a 1st-degree felony. Both subjects were transported to the Orange County Jail.

Juan Reyes, 38, was arrested and booked in the Orange County Jail April 13 for controlled substance possession of more than 400 grams.
