Judgment-free Open Mic Poetry presentation – and spectating – will commence at the Johns Library located on Fannett Rd. on the fourth Saturday of each month, kicking off 2023 on Jan. 28, from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Adults and teens age 14 and up are invited to share poetry with other artists. Poems can be original, or presenters can recite or read favorite poets if credit is given to the original content producer.
Organizers encourage those not quite ready to take to the stage to visit Open Mic and cheer on those taking the plunge: “We encourage audience members to attend. This is a casual, encouraging atmosphere with no harsh judgments or attitudes. No fees, just a night of enjoyment for everyone.”
