PAPD investigates familial shootout

Around 2:42 p.m. April 2, officers of the Port Arthur Police Department were dispatched to the area of 827 Stilwell Blvd. in reference to shots fired. Shortly after, dispatch notified officers that a male subject had been shot. 

Upon arrival, officers found a male subject with a gunshot wound to his neck, and another male on scene who was later determined to be a family member, and the suspect. 

The suspect, later found to also have been shot in a lower extremity, was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital. 

The victim was also transported to a local hospital for treatment. This incident is under investigation by the Port Arthur Criminal Investigations Division.
