At approximately 4:30 a.m., the Port Arthur Police Department received a 911 call in reference to a person being shot in the 3800 block of Chevy Chase Lane, according to a news release.
Officers found an man, who was approximately 40 years old, with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to St. Elizabeth
Hospital in Beaumont by EMS for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The victim told officers he had gone outside to go to work when he was confronted by two unknown suspects. The suspects took the victim’s keys from him at gunpoint before shooting at him. The suspects fled in the victim’s pickup, and officers located it a short
time later unoccupied. The suspects have not been located at the time of this release.
