The 2004 computer-animated fantasy adventure, “The Polar Express,” will be shown at Classic Movie Night inside the Jefferson Theatre on Friday, Dec. 16, at 7 p.m.

Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis (“Forrest Gump” and “Cast Away”) reunited for “The Polar Express,” which an inspiring adventure based on the beloved children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg.

When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

Rated G, the film features human characters animated using live-action plus motion capture CGI animation and was later listed in the 2006 Guinness World Records as the first all-digital capture film.
