The South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) approved the Nominating Committees’ recommendations for Executive Committee Officers for 2023 at their Nov. 16 meeting.

They were Jefferson County Commissioner Michael “Shane” Sinegal, president; Hardin County Judge Wayne McDaniel, first vice-president; Orange County Commissioner Johnny Trahan, second vice-president; Jasper County Judge Mark Allen, third vice-president; Port Neches Mayor Glenn Johnson, fourth vice-president; Lumberton Councilmember Kimberly Cline, fifth vice-presidents; Kirbyville Councilmember Amanda Gates, treasurer; and Pine Forest Mayor Cathy Angel, secretary.

In other action, SETRPC approved the Fiscal Year 2023 Statewide Emergency Radio Infrastructure Award for $750,000 by the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Division; and a resolution for an interlock agreement with Jasper County for the joint construction of a 440-foot VHF radio tower using grant funds.
