THE LIFE OF GRAYSEN HILLER
Graysen was a happy, healthy two-year-old. He loved to run around, play with action figures, and make everyone in the room laugh. One day, he began running unexplained fevers with no symptoms of illness. This happened on and off over a few weeks. During that time, he began having severe weakness in his legs and random bruising. His legs could not support his weight and he could barely sit up. Graysen’s pediatricians ordered blood work and x-rays to hopefully find answers. That afternoon, Graysen's family received a phone call from his pediatrician saying that he needed to come to the office first thing the next morning.

THE DIAGNOSIS
When they arrived, Dr. Bell informed them that Graysen's blood work was showing indicators of disease that would need to be further explored by the doctors at Texas Children's Hospital. They packed a bag and prepared for a very long hospital stay. On September 14, 2020, his blood work concluded that he had B-cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (BALL). His treatment plan began immediately and he has been fighting with all of his power ever since. There have been extremely hard times struggling with his health, but his family feels they are very lucky to be where they are today.

GRAYSEN NOW
Graysen is 4 years old now and currently in the Maintenance Phase of his treatment. He currently takes chemotherapy pills daily and rotates between oncology appointments and blood work every two weeks. He has been fighting for about a year and a half and still has a year left of treatment ahead of him.

If you ever saw him, you would never know how sick his body was. He is still the same happy, wild, loving boy that he was at the age of 2. His family feels extremely blessed and thankful for all of the love and support that they have received through this journey. #GraysensGotThis.
