Stabbing suspect sought

At about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 6, Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) officers responded to the 900 block of Main Avenue in reference to a stabbing. 

According to a PAPD news release, officers located a black woman suffering from a single stab wound to the hand. The victim’s injuries were reportedly not life-threatening, and she was listed as in stable condition.

Officers reportedly know the identity of the suspect, but the accused wasn’t on scene when police arrived. This incident is under investigation by the PAPD Criminal Investigations Division.
