The first-ever Hardin-Jefferson FFA Team Roping is set for Feb. 28 at the Lilton Sonnier Covered Arena, 335 South Park St., in Winnie.
Entry fees is $300 per person and $600 per team (cash only) with an 80% payout for fastest time on first three steers and second three steers, along with first, second and third in the average. Tres Rios buckles and cash go to average winners, and cash goes to second and third place.
Contestants must pre-register by calling or texting (832) 655-2334 to enter. Books close at 10:30 a.m. and roping starts at 11 a.m. There will be a World Series Barrier with a five-second penalty. WSTR/USTRC Classification.
