Traffic stop results in drug arrests

An early morning traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two Beaumont residents, reported the Beaumont Police Department.

Jan. 18, Keith Allen Fowler Jr., 30, and his passenger, Ty’Keyah Alliyanna Coleman, 23, were arrested when officers stopped them in the 1900 block of Nora. Officers seized two handguns, 50 grams of powder cocaine, 30 grams of crack cocaine and 14 ounces of marijuana.

Both suspects were transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.

Fowler was booked in for evading detention, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of marijuana. He is also on federal probation.

Coleman was booked in for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
