An 18-wheeler on fire on Interstate 10 west bound near the downtown Beaumont exit had traffic at a standstill leading into the lunch hour on June 24. 
According to police, the incident reported around 11:30 a.m. is being considered a Major Hazmat crash. Traffic is being diverted from both east and west bound lanes.
