Vidor City Council meetings will be on Zoom

The city of Vidor is taking its city council meetings online, which will be made available through two-way video conferencing website Zoom.

"Based on recent orders from Governor 

Abbott, Orange County Judge John Gothia, and Mayor Kimberly Stiebig's Third Amended Emergency Order and Recommendations dated March 28, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 emergency, until further notice, the public will not be allowed to be present at City Council meetings through April 10, 2020," states city info. "In the interim, regular and special called City Council meetings will be available to members of the public, including allowing for two-way communications.

"To participate in the regular or special called City Council meetings via video conference, please go to the website www.zoom.com, click on "join a meeting" and input the correct Meeting ID and password that is provided on the regular or special called meeting agenda.

"If you desire to speak or provide comments on an agenda item, please submit your name, address and request to the City Secretary before 5 p.m. on the day of the posted meeting at vwatson@cityofvidor.com or by calling at (409) 681-6241. You may also provide your comments via email to the City Secretary."

Agenda postings are available at the city's website, cityofvidor.com. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 9 at 7 p.m.
