Just a couple days after Christmas, Dec. 28, 2020, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Sarah D. Pharis, 32, of Sulphur, after an investigation revealed she was responsible for sending out numerous nude photographs of an acquaintance. A couple weeks later, Pharis would again be arrested for sending out nude photos of another – this time for a separate victim also impacted in the 2020 bare barrage.
CPSO reports that, during the investigation, it was learned Pharis had access to the original victim’s personal information and traveled to Texas to mail out degrading letters about him to at least 30 individuals with included nude photographs of the subject
Pharis was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 150 counts of non-consensual disclosure of a private image. Later the same, day she was released on a $75,000 bond set by Judge Sharon Wilson.
This past week, Pharis was again behind bars for the revealing mailed material. Jan. 14, after further investigation, Pharis was once again arrested after detectives learned another individual’s private images were also included in the letters she previously mailed out. Pharis was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with an additional 30 counts of non-consensual disclosure of a private image. She was released later the same day on a $15,000 bond set by Judge Tony Fazzio.
