The Beaumont Police Department reports major flooding throughout the city this morning, July 18.

Warning from BPD:

Due to heavy rains, motorists will encounter numerous obstacles and hazards while driving today in the city of Beaumont.

Flooding is creating traffic issues this morning, July 18.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning and has extended it until 12:15 p.m.

Sarah Dupre of TxDOT reports that in Port Neches, the road is closed at the intersection of SH366 and SH347 due to standing water at 8:47 a.m.


Criminal District Attorney Cory Crenshaw announced in a July 17 press release by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office that Port Arthur resident James Arceneaux, 53, has been found guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child by a Jefferson County jury.
