The Orange Community Players are hosting “Yee Haw! A Country Music Variety Show” at the Orange Train Depot Museum, 1210 Green Ave. in Orange, on Saturday, Aug. 20. Dinner consisting of barbecue, sides, dessert, and complimentary beer and wine, will begin at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7:37 p.m.

Weston Property & Casualty Insurance Company was put into receivership for liquidation on Aug. 8. Policies currently insured by Weston, including those in Texas, will be canceled effective Sept. 7, according to the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA).

FBI offers reward for 1997 Orange murder

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man wanted for the 1997 murder of his wife in Orange. According to an announcement from the FBI Houston Division, Rogelio Guerra Vasquez has ties to, or may be residing near, Monterrey, Mexico.
