The 10U Piranhas finished the season strong playing up two divisions to finish fourth in the Beaumont World Series held last week at Ford Fields. Earlier this summer, the Piranhas won the Silver Division in Destin, Florida.
Coached by Mack McPhatter, the team roster includes DJ Walker, Camden Goode, Greyson Spencer, Boone Collins, Wyatt Hill, Madden McPhatter, Christopher Anderson, Korbin Dugas, Hudson Weinacker and Owen Weber.
West End Little League 12-year-old all-stars defeated Lumberton 12-0 to advance to Sectionals, which will be held in Barbers Hill beginning July 5.
The team roster is Collin Ayers, Knox Babineaux, Max Babineaux, Raylon Chevis, Rafael Escobedo, Alex Fisher, Brinton Hill, Manning James, JohnThomas Mayo, Christian Vitanza, Kohen Sandberg and Stephen Zummo.
Coaches are Carl Vitanza, Thomas Mayo and Chris Whiddon.
Two more teams from West End Little League advanced after winning their respective districts.
The Juniors defeated Silsbee, 31-15, and will next travel to Kirbyville Little League for Sectionals. Coached by Jon Newton, Joey Daleo, Michael Ewing and Frank Grisanti, the all-star roster includes Blake Broussard, Dane Daleo, Harper Ewing, Cristian Godina, Parker Griffin, Jaxon Grisanti, William Heinz, Knox Jackson, Jeffery Newton, Ryan Perez, Miles Saba, Brady Tran and Reid Tyner.
The 10U all-stars defeated Lumberton, 16-3, and will host the Sectional on July 5-8. The team roster is AJ Bevil, James Heath, Jack Heinz, Noah Hopkin, Reid Martin, Braden Matt, Maceo Messina, Brady Neale, Jack Pyburn, Louie Ramey, Christian Smith, Patrick Strahan and Wayland Zummo. The team is coached by Josh Heinz, Greg Messina and Jimmy Neale.
