Lumberton ISD names McDonald Interim AD, Head Football Coach

Lumberton ISD announced Chase McDonald as the Interim Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for the district. McDonald replaces James Reyes who recently accepted a similar position at Palestine ISD. McDonald, a Lumberton graduate, has served as an assistant coach at Lumberton for eight years, four of those as defensive coordinator. “I am honored to accept the role of interim athletic director and head football coach at Lumberton ISD,” said McDonald. “Thank you, Dr. Tony Tipton and administration, for this opportunity. We have a great foundation in place that I am excited to build on. I’m excited to work with our incredible students and staff to further elevate all our programs.”
