Warren High School has hired John Woodard to be its new football coach and athletic director. Woodard replaces Kevin Barbay, who resigned in March to become an assistant football coach at Lamar University.
Woodard, 52, comes over from Class A Ganado where he served as the defensive coordinator the last two seasons as the team went 22-2 during that span. He was last a head coach at Class A Union Hill for two seasons and finished 4-16.
UFC will host its first pay-per-view in what seems like a while when one of the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters Jon “Bones” Jones (15-1) finally defends his UFC light heavyweight title against former training partner “Suga” Rashad Evans (17-1-1) at UFC 145 on Saturday, April 21, in Atlanta.

Ben Askren successfully defended, and dominated, in his latest title defense, which I attended on April 6. He beat up on Douglas Lima, one of the top welterweights in the world, for five rounds at Bellator 64 at Caesars in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
