A 26-year-old Beaumont man arrested for killing a homeless woman in June has been indicted on capital murder charges by a Jefferson County Grand Jury Sept. 26.

Brandon Julian Coleman has been charged with the capital murder of 54-year-old Catherine Dungan, who was found bound at a local park and who had been sexually assaulted before being strangled to death.

A Beaumont man is behind bars on Capital Murder charges following the sexual assault and murder of a local homeless woman, reports the Beaumont Police Department.

The reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects responsible for the capital murder of Kera Teel, a 19-year-old pregnant mother who was shot to death June 6, has been increased to $10,000 after local businesses and concerned citizens donated monies to increase the amount in order to encourage members of the public to come forward if they know anything.

"At about 1:45 this morning, my wife died in my arms,” Andrew Teel said, red-rimmed eyes glistening in the harsh lights from the television cameras surrounding him as he described 19-year-old Kera Teel’s final moments during a press conference June 6. “I don’t know if any of you have ever experienced anything like that. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.”
