Beaumont Police responded to a fatal crash involving two motorcycles in the 5900 block of East Cardinal Drive, Saturday, Sept. 15.

Police in Port Arthur are investigating a fatality crash that claimed the life of a 78-year-old Houston man Sept. 11, reports the Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD).

According to a news release from PAPD, officers responded to a major traffic accident in the 3500 block of S. MLK shortly after 9 p.m. Upon arrival to the location, officers discovered an apparently deceased male lying in the middle of the roadway.

Four people are dead and another seriously injured following a Sept. 3 wreck in Tyler County involving two pickup trucks, one of which was towing an RV, reports Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Stephanie Davis.

UPDATE: Victim identified, suspect found

Beaumont Police Traffic investigators identified the victim as Reginald Allen Osborne, a 46-year-old Vidor resident. Investigators were initially searching for the driver involved in the crash but have since identified the person. Charges are pending.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is requesting the public’s help identifying a woman who was struck and killed while trying to cross the interstate in the early morning hours of Aug. 30, reports Sgt. Stephanie Davis.

Samantha Swanson, a 45-year-old Orange woman, tragically succumbed to her injuries after a car crash resulted in her sustaining severe injuries the night of Monday, Aug. 27.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a fatal weekend crash that claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman Aug. 18, reports Sgt. Stephanie Davis. 

According to Davis, troopers responded to a multiple vehicle crash on US-90 in Jefferson County at about 10:30 p.m.  The crash occurred approximately two (2) miles west of Beaumont.

A multi-vehicle crash on FM 105 in Orange County claimed the life of Vivian Townsend Markle, 72, of Vidor, on Sunday, June 3. 

A Department of Public Safety press release reported that a 1996 Honda was traveling northbound on FM 105, while a 2008 Ford SUV was traveling southbound on FM 105.  As the driver of the Honda entered a curve, he traveled into the southbound lane and collided head-on with the Ford.

At approximately 5:45 a.m. Monday, May 28, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers received a report of an auto-pedestrian crash near the intersection of FM 105 and West Circle Road in Vidor.

Initial reports indicate that a 2015 Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on FM 105.  A pedestrian was walking in the middle of the roadway and walked into the path of the Ford.

The pedestrian, Megan Gail Freeman, 56, of Vidor, was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Joy Dubose-Simonton.
