The Houston International Boat, Sport & Travel Super Show is set for NRG Center in Houston from Jan. 6-15. It’s largest indoor show for outdoor sports in America featuring over 1,000 boats and RVs, plus hundred of fishing, sport, travel, outdoor gear and even art exhibits.

Show hours are Jan. 6 (1-8 p.m.), Jan. 7-10 (11 a.m. – 8 p.m.), Jan. 11-12 (1-8 p.m.), Jan. 13 (1-9 p.m.), Jan. 14 (11 a.m. – 9 p.m.) and Jan. 15 (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

A military contractor has been levied with a monetary judgment for accepting gifts and gratuities from sub-contractors, announced Eastern District of Texas U.S. Attorney John M. Bales Sept. 16.

State troopers investigating an apparent hit-and-run accident believe the crash may have been caused by a medical condition suffered by one of the two pickup truck drivers involved in the incident, reports Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper Stephanie Davis.

Jerry Wayne Adaway, 58, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured on August 9 in Houston. Adaway was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender. The arrest was not the result of a tip, and no reward will be paid.

Alley Theatre artistic director Gregory Boyd has announced the cast and creative team for Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web, Christie’s only comedy thriller, set to run through Aug. 14 in the Hubbard Theatre. The run time is 2 hours and 40 minutes with two intermissions. Recommended for general audiences, the series is the perfect introduction to live theatre for first-timers.

The 39th annual Houston World Series of Dog Shows is underway now through Sunday, July 24, at NRG Center. Times for the canine spectacular are 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for ages 12 and under.

The whole family will enjoy the lively performance events and exhibitions, relay races and conformation judging, plus seminars, displays and shopping. Absolutely everything to do with dogs and the people who love them will be happening at the Houston World Series of Dog Shows.
