Kevin Andrew Kamper, 29, was found guilty of two enhanced first-degree felonies of aggravated sexual assault of a child, Jefferson County Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham said Friday, June 22, with the now-convicted child predator receiving a jury-instructed sentence in Judge Raquel West’s 252nd District Court totaling 50 years in prison with no parole.

Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham announced today that Brandon Devillier, 35, of Groves, pled guilty to Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. Judge John B. Stevens, Jr., followed the plea agreement between the State and Devillier and sentenced Devillier to 35 years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham announced May 21 that Christopher Bushnell, 28, and Rashanda Morris, 27, each entered pleas of guilty to first degree Injury to a Child. Bushnell was charged with intentionally or knowingly causing serious bodily injury to the victim, a two-year-old child, by holding her feet under hot water. Morris was charged with intentionally or knowingly, by omission, causing serious bodily injury to the victim by failing to seek medical treatment after Bushnell injured the child.

Tamora Angel Foster, 39, of Nederland, was found guilty by a jury of her peers for the offense of continuous sexual abuse of young child and ultimately sentenced to serve five decades in a Texas prison, Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham announced Monday, March 12.

The jury found Foster guilty on March 9 and assessed her punishment at 50 years confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Foster was formally sentenced by Judge Raquel West of the 252nd District Court.

Jefferson County Criminal District Attorney Bob Wortham announced Sept. 25 that Adam Emanuel Fuller, 36, pleaded guilty to murder in the January 6, 2015, shooting death of 27-year-old Derek Allen Phillips of Beaumont.

Following the shooting, the Beaumont Police Department (BPD) reported that Phillips was discovered dead by his roommate at their shared residence in the 1300 block of Central Drive in Beaumont. Initial reports of the murder indicated that after waking from a nap, Phillips’ roommate found him unresponsive and bleeding profusely before calling 911 at 9:42 p.m.

Beaumont man, Arthur Christopher Harmon, 23, was found guilty of the first-degree felony offense of murder and was sentenced to 45 years in prison, according to Assistant Jefferson County District Attorney Rachel Grove. The jury returned a guilty verdict after one-and-a-half hours of deliberations on Aug. 25.
