Three arrests for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 were made on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 4:28 p.m. after the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force was conducting an operation and surveillance on known meth dealers delivering narcotics in the area of Beaumont.

On September 4, at about 9:30 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force and Traffic Unit conducted a joint operation with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives in Beaumont. Through the use of undercover officers, detectives were able to identify two suspected methamphetamine dealers in the area of College Street and Major Drive.

Beginning Friday, Aug 31 the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will be stepping up patrol for the Labor Day weekend. Deputies will focus on impaired drivers, speeders and seat belt violations on our roadways. We will also increase patrol efforts at the Beach. They encourage anyone who is planning on celebrating this last three-day weekend of the summer season, to do responsibly. They encourage citizens to plan in advance and choose their designated driver carefully.

Deputies of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) are holding a link and sandwich sale July 30 and July 31 to raise funds for corrections officers who have suffered multiple tragic circumstances and need some assistance. 

Corrections Officer Demitria Juarez had just gotten back into her home after Hurrican Harvey when her 5-year-old sone was struck by a car. While at the hospital with him for several weeks, her home caught fire. 

Corrections Officer April Scypion suffered a house fire and major wreck.

A Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) deputy discovered more than 100 bottles of testosterone and over 300 grams of Xanax during a traffic stop March 10, reports Deputy Marcus McLellan.

According to a news release from JCSO, Deputy Brigitte Hazleton responded to a reckless driver reported to be speeding and tailgating other vehicles on Interstate 10 close to 8 p.m. on March 10. She soon caught up with the suspect vehicle and stopped the driver at mile marker 845.

On Wednesday, Feb. 14 around 11:45 a.m., Deputies from the JCSO Warrant Division attempted to serve a mental health warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Edson Drive, Capt. Crystal Holmes said in a release. A mental health warrant is often served if someone reported the person to display strange behavior and is issued by a judge.

On Saturday, Feb. 3, Deputy A. Lovett was dispatched to a residence in the 17000 block of Wilber in Hamshire in reference to a burglary and theft, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Capt. Crystal Holmes said in a release.

On Feb. 5, Jefferson County Narcotics Investigators were conducting Surveillance on Houston Street near Usan in Beaumont when they attempted to stop a silver Chevy HHR, Capt. Crystal Holmes said in a release.

On Jan. 20, at about 10:31 pm, Beaumont Police Officers responded to the area of I-10 and Washington Boulevard in reference to a stolen black 2002 Chevrolet Impala, Officer Carol Riley said in a release.

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) Deputies investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle arrested three suspects on fraud/identity theft charges after discovering what appeared to be mail stolen from Beaumont, Lumberton and Silsbee, along with a gun and other apparently stolen items from area burglaries, reports Capt. Crystal Holmes.
