A Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD school bus carrying high school students was involved in a one vehicle accident the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 28, LCM community relations coordinator Sherry Combs said in a statement, but no one on the bus was injured.

Cory Broom accepts his Golden Apple and $500 check from Education First FCU.

Education First Federal Credit Union has named Cory Broom of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School its Golden Apple Educator Award winner for the month of August.

As the 2015-16 school year began, Broom was awarded with a Golden Apple and a $500 check from Education First Federal Credit Union in front of his drama students, LC-M staff and many of the parents who nominated him.  Onlookers met inside the high school theater to surprise him with the news.

Epic Proportions cast

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville UIL One Act Play will present Epic Proportions on Tuesday, April 14, and Thursday, April 16. The Culinary Arts Department will serve dinner at 6 p.m. and the play will follow at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event are $20, or $5 for theplay only.
