Andrew Duhon

Grammy nominated New Orleans native Andrew Duhon comes to Beaumont to with his honest and gritty voice to play Courville’s on Wednesday, Jan. 24. Duhon has released three albums, his first in 2009 titled Songs I Wrote Before I Knew You recorded in Nashville with three-time Grammy winner Trina Shoemaker. A year later, Duhon released Dreaming When You Leave, an EP with Grammy winning producer John Synder. Duhon’s latest effort came in 2013, The Moorings, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album.

Twisted Throttle

The newest rock band to emerge from Southeast Texas is Twisted Throttle, and the four-some will perform at Dylan’s in Port Arthur on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m. The lineup features female vocalist Mindy Tompkins alongside Aaron Williams on guitar, Ben Sanders on bass and Nathan Currie on the drums.

Texas Country pioneer Kevin Fowler returns to Southeast Texas to perform at Dixie Dance Hall on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont on Saturday, Dec. 30, with doors opening at 7 p.m. From Amarillo, Fowler is no stranger to the area and has sold out venues and festivals for more than 15 years. He’s recorded seven full-length albums, the latest in 2016, called Coming To a Honky Tonk Near You.

In a recording career that spans almost three decades and 23 albums, Kenny G has solidified his reputation as the premier saxophonist in contemporary jazz.

Wynonna & the Big Noise

Wynonna Judd will make her first ever stop in Beaumont on Friday, Dec. 8, at Ford Arena with her band The Big Noise as the concert will feature a mix of holiday favorites and Wynonna’s biggest hits. To make it even more special, Ford Park will be hosting a special pre-concert Wine Tasting at Wynonna event. Tickets for the Wine Tasting at Wynonna event are just $15, and will include six samples of a diverse selection of wines along with a cheese and fruit display to cleanse your pallet. Doors for the wine tasting will open at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 8, and will remain open until 7 p.m.

Urban Pioneers at Neches Brewing Company Port Neches on December 2nd

Mix one part Texas fiddle and one part Tennessee banjo, add doghouse bass and a splash of guitar and you have a delicious cocktail for your ears known as the Urban Pioneers. Jared McGovern (banjo, vocals), Liz Sloan (fiddle, vocals) and Martin Sargent (bass) will return to perform at the Neches Brewing Company on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. This string band hammers out a variety of original songs that encompass old time hillbilly music, western swing, rockabilly and even a few Gypsy songs for good measure. LN & The Crush

Head over to Luke’s Icehouse at 2325 Calder Ave. in Beaumont on Friday evening, Dec. 1 to check out local act LN & The Crush. Lead vocalist Ellen Radford, who was singing before she could talk and by the time she was 8, was sitting in with local bands belting out both classic and modern hits. She has performed with the likes of Johnny Winter, rock guitar legend George Lynch, Nic Armstrong, Vinny Appice of Black Sabbath, and Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. The Crush consists of Axel Wisor on guitar, Chris Boaz on bass and drummer Zach Martin.
